Mary Walker in the Second Presbyterian Church

Your experience begins in our orientation theater where visitors will see a short introductory video exploring the history of the Medal of Honor.  The doors to the theater open and you will be transported to the Civil War era as you witness the Andrew’s Raiders and the Great Locomotive Chase.  This was the conflict in which the first Medals of Honor were awarded.  After this, visitors will walk through the Ringgold Tunnel and see the conflicts around Chattanooga that include a scene with Mary Walker in the Second Presbyterian Church, the only female Medal of Honor recipient, as she treated wounded soldiers.
