Throughout your journey through the Heritage Center, you can leave the timeline of conflicts through American history and come to the center of the museum. At the center of the Heritage Center is a statue of Arthur McCarthur, a Civil War recipient and father of WWII”s Douglas McCarthur. We are calling his statue the “Heart of Valor” and it is a focal point in which visitors can sit and contemplate the hearts of our heroes and how the character traits of Patriotism, sacrifice, citizenship, integrity, and commitment can play in their own lives. The permanent exhibit is meant to be an immersive experience that strives to instill in our visitors, not only a sense of awe, but also in a firm belief that they too can exhibit the five character traits in their own lives.
