The Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center is partnering with the Chattanooga Scenic City Women’s Network and the Veteran and Military Affairs Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to mark 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks with a special program of remembrance and reflection.
This special program will start with an open reception in our main gallery before guests will move to the Johnston Education Center for a fireside chat moderated by NewsChannel 9 anchor Josh Roe with Medal of Honor Recipient Leroy Petry and other distinguished guests as they share their powerful personal stories about how the events of that tragic day impacted their lives and shaped their paths of service, sacrifice and commitment to our nation.
The conversation will also look to the future on what they hope happens on the 50th remembrance of 9/11—and what we all can do to ensure future generations understand the Courage, Sacrifice and Commitment that emerged in the wake of this tragic day.
