“I am honored to join this organization and work to build a world class Medal of Honor Heritage Center. Chattanooga is the birthplace of the Medal of Honor and I think it’s important to preserve this heritage and honor the countless stories of the individuals who have earned our nation’s highest military recognition. I am also proud to promote our Character Development Program which inspires students to improve their lives by practicing the virtues of Medal of Honor recipients: patriotism, citizenship, courage, integrity, sacrifice, and commitment,” Jules Parker said.

The Medal of Honor Heritage Center is scheduled to open its facility in the Aquarium Plaza in February 2020. The 19,000-square-foot facility will feature 20 Medal of Honor recipients and share their dramatic stories through a series of immersive and engaging exhibits. An important feature of the new Heritage Center is a large classroom where visitors can learn to effect positive change in their lives and their communities through exploring and embracing the relevance of the Medal of Honor.
