Heritage Center Welcomes Military Reunion Network

Photo Aug 30 2 45 51 PMWith the opening of the National Medal of Honor Heritage Museum in 2020, Chattanooga is quickly becoming a top destination for military reunions. Several members from companies including The Military Reunion Network, Wheelus Air Base, Marine Fighter Squadron 542, Naval Reserve Recruiters Assoc, USS Sam Houston SSBN/SSN 609, USS Henry B. Wilson DDG 7, and USS Grand Canyon AD/AR28, arrived in Chattanooga on August 29 for two full days touring the city.

While visiting they made their way to some of Chattanooga’s most iconic places: Ruby Falls, Rock City, Battles for Chattanooga, Tennessee Aquarium, Chickamauga National Battlefield, Chattanooga National Cemetery, and the Chattanooga Choo Choo. 20210914 112136

The Heritage Center was delighted to welcome our guests for a full tour. “A visit to the Medal of Honor Heritage Center is a MUST for every military reunion. It was wonderful to see the care and thought taken in sharing the stories of not only the recipients but the medal itself,” said Sharon Danitschek, President of The Military Reunion Network.

A special thanks to Southern Escape Tours, Holiday Inn Downtown Chattanooga, and Big River Grill for providing our guests with hospitality during their visit.
