CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (November 6, 2018)– The Medal of Honor Heritage Center is pleased to announce Jules Parker, CFRE, as Director of Development. Mrs. Parker brings with her 10 years of experience in development, fundraising, and relationship building, and attained the Certified Fund Raising Executive credential in 2016.
Before joining the Medal of Honor Heritage Center, she served as the Major Gift Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga.
Jules will establish the framework for the philanthropy program and manage the Heritage Center communications, donor relations, and special events. A major part of the initial work through the Heritage Center’s official opening in February 2020 will be focusing on revenue growth and engaging top investors.
“Jules brings to the Medal of Honor Heritage Center an extensive array of fundraising experience and community leadership. Her passion, development experience, and service to the community will be a tremendous asset as she implements programs, events, community outreach and special initiatives,” Keith Hardison, Executive Director, said.
Jules graduated from Berry College with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Journalism. She has called Chattanooga her home since she began her career as an Associate Producer for the WRCB television station 30 years ago. Jules is known for her passion to support the community and has served on the board of directors of numerous organizations. Currently she is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Kiwanis Club, and Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute. She serves on the board of directors for YMCA Camp Ocoee, and the Friends of Hixson. In 2015 she served as the President of the Hixson Council for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, has served as a Chamber Ambassador, and as the Executive Coordinator for the Junior League of Chattanooga.

Chattanooga is the birthplace of the Medal of Honor and I think it’s important to preserve this heritage and honor the countless stories of the individuals who have earned our nation’s highest military recognition. I am also proud to promote our Character Development Program which inspires students to improve their lives by practicing the virtues of Medal of Honor recipients: patriotism, citizenship, courage, integrity, sacrifice, and commitment,” Jules Parker said.
The Medal of Honor Heritage Center is scheduled to open its facility in the Aquarium Plaza in February 2020. The 19,000-square-foot facility will feature 20 Medal of Honor recipients and share their dramatic stories through a series of immersive and engaging exhibits. An important feature of the new Heritage Center is a large classroom where visitors can learn to effect positive change in their lives and their communities through exploring and embracing the relevance of the Medal of Honor.
