The Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center is so much more than a museum. While we honor and respect the past, we are equally focused on helping shape the future through our programs developed to build the next generation of heroes.

Moh Education1

The Heritage Center’s educational initiatives include the implementation of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Character Development Program for middle school and high school students and Character Club for elementary schools. These programs reinforce the common character traits that are exemplified by Medal of Honor recipients: patriotism, citizenship, integrity, courage, sacrifice, and commitment. Sharing the powerful stories of Medal of Honor recipients in conjunction with a field trip to the Heritage Center, students discover ways to better themselves, help others, and create lasting positive change in our society.

You may also want to support these programs by serving as a volunteer. We are supported by a passionate group of retired educators and veterans who partner with our own educational staff to make a positive difference in the lives of our kids.
