Join us for a “Taste” of Wine and War
Until now, our Wine & War series has featured Medal of Honor Recipients (Korean War MOH Recipient Ralph Puckett, Jr. and Vietnam War MOH Recipient Sammy Davis) and included a dinner. As there are no WWI Medal of Honor Recipients still living, we’re adding a twist to this next event in the series to bring you a “taste” of Wine & War instead. Recognize the name Alvin C. York? How familiar are you with the famed Harlem Hellfighters and the 369th Regimental Army Band? Do you like French wine? How about French cheese? What about French hors d’oeuvres? Have we piqued your interest yet?
Event Features
French Wine & Cheese Tasting Gallery Walk
We’re teaming up with Chattanooga’s Bleu Fox Cheese Shop to bring you cheese and wine selections from various regions of France where our troops served during the Great War.
A WWI Era Concert
Rick Rushing & the Blues Strangers are not “strangers” to Chattanooga. Rick comes from a musical heritage—most notably Blues/Jazz Legend Jimmy Rushing, vocalist and musician for Count Basie’s Big Band Orchestra. We’re partnering with Rick to bring you sounds from the 369th Regimental Army Band and the WWI Era at large with a touch of 21st century.
French Hors d’oeuvres
Experience French culinary traditions with a curated selection of flavorful hors d’oeuvres.
Event Schedule
5-7 PM | Heavy hors d’oeuvres, French Cheese & Wine Pairing Gallery Walk
7-8 PM | WWI Era Concert
Our last two Wine & War events sold out, and we anticipate the same for this next event in the series. Come experience the sights and sounds of the WWI Era, and uniquely savor a range of French flavors here at our Center.
